Richard Kraft came to Sheridan in 1958 from Menasha, WI as a graduate from Elgin Watch School to work for Howard Johnson at Jorgenson Jewelry. In 1964 Richard Kraft purchased Ann's Gift Shop from Ann Booras and established Kraft's Fine Jewelry.
In 1976 the store expanded next door into the former Louis Shoe Repair and a total store remodel was done. The cases were custom built in walnut by Gorden Pedersen and they now boast a beautiful showroom of approximately 2,600 square feet.
Richard's oldest son, Steve started working full time for the store in 1979, managed their branch store in Buffalo, Wyoming from 1980 until 1988, and later purchased Kraft's Fine Jewelry from Richard and Marjorie Kraft in 1990.
In the same location today the store is owned by 2nd generation, Steve Kraft and 3rd generation, Spencer Kraft.
Spencer Kraft is the third generation of Kraft’s Fine Jewelry, and he has over 15 years of experience in the industry. He has completed five courses from the Gemological Institute of America, and is currently on the path to become a Graduate Gemologist. Spencer is very active in his local community, and serves on the Downtown Sheridan Association and CHAPS Equine Assisted Therapy Board. He is currently the Board President for CHAPS.
The team at Kraft’s Fine Jewelry prides themselves on their values, and is passionate about educating consumers on quality product and the importance of shopping with a local jeweler. The family owned and operated store offers a wide array of services to their customers including custom work, jewelry and watch repair services and appraisals. They are also dedicated to building customer relationships and supporting their local Sheridan community.
